The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of a button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an acceptable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for The Best Robot Vacuum And Mop Combo use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best self-emptying robot vacuum known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can push the L10s into the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
