The yearly Tanaab Harvest is upon us! However, the people of Tanaab are being harassed by the fearsome Norulac pirates who want to make their own credits from the people of Tanaab's hard work.

Players who wish to help save the harvest should make their way to the Arcon Multinode Hybrid Plantings (-3000 -30) on Tanaab.

Those players who do help, will be rewarded with harvest coins and perhaps a special gift for going above and beyond.

Harvest 2022

This years activities are being broken up over four phases spread over four weeks. Each phase will introduce new rewards, and new risks.

There will be three farming co-op leaders you can help out - Kari Saarek (-3002, -194), Jaa Haruss (-2037, 41), and Vinon Daivik (-2855 -261)

Getting The Call For Help

Upon first logging in to the game, you will receive a holocomm call from the Co-Op President Wirin Bukrom, who will ask you to please come to the hex farms west of Pandath. He explains that after Lando Calrissian fought back the Norulacs years ago, they've become better organized and stepped up their pirating activities against Tanaab. Unfortunately, with the war still going on around the galaxy, neither the Empire or New Republic seems to be able provide protection.

Each time you complete an objective for one of the Co-Op leaders, you will be given some Harvest coins. If you complete a certain number of objectives, they will give you a special reward once per phase. However, you can only earn one of the three special rewards once per character per week. For example, if you get fifteen recruits for Kari Saarek in phase one, she will give you a schematic for a speeder. If you then go do fifteen survey objectives for Jaa Haruss, you will not receive the Inorganic Survey Device reward.

Kari Saarek (Militia)

Phase One - Recruitment

Location: -3009 24

Rewards: 15 Harvest coins (1 rewarded for each recruit), and a schematic for an XP-38 Sport Landspeeder (upon getting all 15 recruits)

During this first week, Kari needs your help to recruit 15 farmers in to the militia.

When you say you'll help, she sends you to the central databank at the main building to see who your recruit is.

Be sure to read the entry in the popup box! This information will help you recruit them. If you fail to choose the correct prompt, there is no way to steer it back on track, you'll fail and need to return to the database for a new recruit.

  • If the information mentions they've Volunteered for something select dialog option 1.
  • If the information mentions they have credit issues or had to sell land, select dialog option 2.
  • If the information mentions they've been raided by Norulacs before, selection dialog 3.

If you succeed in convincing the recruit, you'll earn a harvest coin and can return to the database for a new recruit.

Phase Two - Training

Rewards: 2 coins per patrol (20 coins total), Armored Taanab Militia Uniforom schematic

This week, Kari needs you to take the new militia recruits on a training patrol route. She will gather several of the recruits inside the main co-op building to work with you.

This is a fairly simple quest line, all players get the same patrol route. It's a good idea to get together with at least one other player for safety in numbers, as there are a couple parts where you could run in to Norulac pirates and they are tough.

Just follow the waypoints, and avoid combat if you can. Losing all your recruits results in a mission failure, and combat can potentially bug the NPCs from following you.

When you've completed a circuit of the waypoints, go back in to the main co-op building for your next batch of recruits and do it all again. Complete the quest line a total of 10 times to earn your reward.

Phase Three - Base Busting

Rewards: 5 Harvest Coins per camp, Carbon-Frozen Canister (Contains a CH Mastiff pet)

The Norulac pirates have established several "beachheads" around the planet from which they are directing the raids on the farmers. Kari needs help in clearing some of these camps and take the pressure off the farmers who are easy prey.

If you agree to help, go to the main databank (-3003 10) inside the central co-op building, radial it and get a waypoint to your first camp and head on out to it.

When you get to the camp, you'll see that it is three buildings, a YT-2400, and a power generator, with about a dozen or so Norulac pirates and three small block turrets. The turrets hit hard, but are relatively easy to destroy with only 20k health (doubly easy if you're a commando with blast damage), the Norulacs as well aren't too much of a problem so long as you don't aggro too many at once (watch out for their fire dot!)

Once you've cleared the camp of threats, you need to set charges inside the buildings (inside, in the hall between the two back doors), the ship (up the ramp, take a left and go in the door past the open hall, across from the turret ladder), and on the power generator (in between two of the round things closest to the YT-2400, it can be tough to see).

When you have all the charges planted, RUN! You have 20 seconds to get as far as you can from the camp, as the explosion will incap you!

Now that the camp is destroyed, use your holocomm (/holocomm) to speak with R4-AG and ask for a new waypoint. Destroy a total of 8 bases to get the Carbon-Frozen Canister reward.

Phase Four - Defend The Farm

Rewards: 50 Harvest Coins, Tanaab Tonic drink (Heals 500 Battle Fatigue, 10 uses, 50 fill)

Start Location: -2909 -178

Notes: It is highly recommended to do this mission in a group with other players.

The Norulac are starting their grand assault, and their target is the hex farms, the very place you've been working out of. Along with a group of Tanaab militia, it is your job to defend the farms from an overwhelming attack force.

The spawns of the attack group are on a universal timer and you need to kill the following (this may take several waves)

  • 75 Norulac Raiders
  • 50 Norulac Thugs
  • 25 Norulac Captains
  • 1 AT-ST

It is possible that you will not finish this on a single attack wave, but the mission will stay in your journal until you've completed it.

Jaa Haruss (Surveying)

Phase One - Crop Reports

Rewards: 1 Harvest Coin per objective, Inorganic Survey Device upon completion of 15 objectives.

Required Items: Flora Survey Tool

Jaa Haruss is in charge of surveying the local crops. Unfortunately, a shipment of survey droids went missing, and they don't have the time to try and find it, so they need volunteers to go out to gather samples of crops.

Check your quest journal for the first crop you're asked to find, then open the required survey device to find it. Find the largest concentration of the resource you can find and begin sampling (it sometimes takes more than one sample cycle).

Once you have all fifteen samples, the quest will be finished.

Phase Two - Raid Report

Rewards: 2 coins per pirate location (30 total), Small Aurilian Plant

It sounds like some Norulac are starting their raiding a little early this season, and Jaa Haruss has been asked to send someone to check out reports of potential pirate activity, thats where you come in.

Your first step is to go to the main databank in the farmer co-op's central building and get a waypoint to a pirate sighting location, then travel there (if you like, you can have another character take you there with their airspeeder).

When you arrive at the location, one of them can be talked to. In short, the conversations boil down to two options: Combat or Bribery. If you choose to fight them be warned, they are very tough, however you only need to kill the one you talked to to complete the mission. Paying them off will cost you 20,000 credits that you need to have on you, not in the bank (this is 300,000 credits if you pay off all fifteen pirates).

Whichever way you have dealt with the pirates, you can now just your /holocomm command to speak with R4-AG and get your next waypoint. You will need to do this a total of fifteen times to finish the quest line.

Phase Three - Convoy

Rewards: 8 Harvest coins, Taanab Wheat Tea (50% chance to dodge, 50 uses, 25% stomach fill)

Start Location: -3111 -103

This quest is ideal for non-combat characters.

The harvest transport convoys have started making their trips to Pandath Starport and they are already being attacked by Norulac raiders, luckily the farmers co-op was able to secure some surplus AT-ACT walkers to use as transports, and some AT-STs to use for escort duty. The problem is, they don't have enough people and need help manning the walkers to defend the convoy.

If you've agreed to help, go outside the compound to find an AT-ST walker (-3215 45). When you get here, an AT-ACT walker will spawn and this is the one you need to follow, not the static one. Approach the AT-ST use /takecommand to board it, then start making your way along to Pandath, defending the slow moving AT-ACT as needed. (Make sure to make a simple macro for /firecannons to easily attack).

When you get to Pandath and the quest completes, you can /dismount to exit the AT-ST.

Fire Cannons macro example
/firecannons;
/pause 1;
/macro cannons;

Phase Four - Kidnapped

Rewards:9 Harvest Coins per retrieval, Schematic for Armored Sunguard hat (upon completion of all retrievals) Notes: This quest line can be completed by a non-combat character if you have a combat alt or friend tag along to kill the Norulac.

The Norulac are a bit sour that they've been unable to make a profit this year since you've been doing a great job at keeping them from stealing crops, so they've decided to try and make up some of their losses in money by kidnapping the local farmers and holding them for ransom. Jaa believes you can get the farmers back for the low cost of a blaster bolt.

You will be given a waypoint and need to go out to it and eliminate all the pirates in the camp, then escort the kidnapped farmer back to Jaa (they will ride on your speeder).

Rescue 8 hostages and you get the schematic reward.

Vinon Daivik (Operations)

Phase One - Beachhead Surveys

Rewards: 1 Harvest Coin per objective. Tanaab Hardtack (food), upon completion of 15 objectives

Required Items: Surveillance Binoculars (Crafted by an Artisan)

Vinon has been tasked with scouting locations where the Norulac Pirates have been reported to have set up in the past, and needs your help to get ahead of them in an attempt to help disrupt them before things get too out of hand.

He will give you a Pirate Survey Datacard, which you need to slot in to your Binoculars. Radial the binoculars, put in the card, then equip it and use the /utilize command. The waypoint will be activated.

Drive out to the location, but you do not want to get any close than 94-64 meters from the waypoint. Facing the waypoint, use /utilize again to survey the area.

Once you've finished the survey of that location, use /utilize again and continue to the next point, repeating the process until you've done this fifteen times.

Phase Two - Requisition

Location: -3131 17

Rewards: 40 Harvest Coins, Smugglers Lucky Dice (Guarantee's a smuggler weapon speed slice) Special Notes: This quest is not repeatable.

This week, Vinon needs your help in securing some materiel to help arm the recruits that Kari Saarek was able to secure for defense of the harvest. He has a friend in Starhunter Station who has contacts that might be able to help, but they need you to go and talk with these contacts in person.

With the credit authorization codes in hand, head to the Starhunter Station to speak with Vinons friend, Qozi (3683 -5418 Inside the bunker) who will send you to Borvo the Hutt, who is located at the Hutt Outpost on Rori. (3701 -6466, inside bunker) Speak with Borvo and secure the armor, then go back to Tanaab and speak with Qozi again.

This time, Qozi will be sending you to Lok to speak with Talon Kaarde, who can supply the farmers co-op with construction droids. Go to the Military Outpost on Lok, and speak with Talon Kaarde (-1889 -3100), then go back to Qozi on Tanaab.

Qozi has a line on some weapons now, and sends you off to Tatooine to speak with a strange old smuggler named Hondo Ohnaka. Get yourself a ticket to Mos Espa, Tatooine, and go speak to Hondo (-2894 2285), secure the blasters, and then go back to Qozi.

The good news is, Qozi found some heavy duty landspeeders, the bad news is you're going back to Tatooine, this time to Mos Entha. You need to find BoShek (1552 3384) and convince him to sell you the speeders. Back to Tanaab and Qozi.

Now in need of some smuggler fleet in case the Norulac cut off the shipping Lanes, you need to go find a woman named Platt Okeefe on Corellia, who is supposedly a legendary smuggler. Go to Doaba Guerfel on Corellia, and convince Platt ((3208 5251)) to help out for a fee. Back to Qozi on Tanaab for the next one.

Unfortunately, it seems that Borvo is going back on his word and has failed to deliver the shipment of armor. You'll need to go back to Rori and take care of things. Be prepared, as you're not on the invite list this time, and Borvo's guards will shoot to kill. Convince Borvo to complete his end of the deal and go back to Tanaab. (If you die while trying to get to the bunker, the cloning facility is directly next to the bunker, you can attempt to burst run past the guards and get inside. Once you talk to Borvo, the guards will no longer be hostile)

You need to make one final trip to meet a supplier for some heavy artillery like AT-STs and AT-ACTs, but he is supposedly a myth, and this means one final trip to Rori. Without any sort of leads to go on, you need to wander around Rori until you stumble upon a camp south west of the Kobola Bunker POI and a lone man named Jessik (5571 -1874).

Phase Three - To Catch a Predator

Rewards: 7 Harvest Tokens (56 total), Smugglers Lucky Dice (Guarantees an armor effectiveness slice)

Start Location:-3000 -190

The Norulac have started to get hostile, openly attacking the local farmers of Taanab, and Vinon wants to strike back by capturing some of their officers.

Using some of the data you originally collected back in phase one, and with the help of a datalink to some orbital satellites, Vinon has an idea of where to find some of these officers, and wants to send you out to catch and bring them in.

Vinon will give you a waypoint to your first target. Come prepared, as the Norulac are tough enemies to fight.

At each base, there are three small block turrets. They hit hard and have a 80m range, but are fairly easy to take out with only 20k health. There are also numerous Norulac Raiders who also hit a little hard, especially when they get a fire dot on you, or you get more than one at a time.

You need to search through the camp's three buildings and the YT-2400 until you find the Norulac Raider Captain. Radial them, and select the "Take Prisoner" option so that they will you. Go outside and get on your speeder (they will also get on it when you do) to take them back to Vinon.

Speak with Vinon again to get a new camp waypoint. You need to complete this 8 times to earn the Smugglers Lucky Dice reward.

Phase Four - Combat Medicine

Rewards: Harvest Coins, Smuggler's Lucky Dice (3 uses, Guaranteed damage slice on weapon)

Start Location: -3000 9

Notes: This is best done in a group that is working on Kari's week four mission to defend the farm.

The Norulac are stepping up their attack on the farm, and while Kari has her militia troops defending the farm, Vinon needs you help make sure they stay alive during the assault.

During this mission you need to heal other player characters that are attempting to defend the farm a total of 1oo times.
