This particular weapon was submitted under Republic specification Z-6 during the opening months of the Clone Wars, calling for a repeating blaster small enough for a squad of troops to carry into battle and use either on vehicles or tripods. While the Antrech Arms submission was not accepted for Republic service, it did eventually see use by limited special forces teams who also use other Antrech Arms weapons...
The schematic is aquired from the Imperial Corvette as loot.
It can only be crafted by a Master Weaponsmith
